To learn hotel management and serve global travelers

HK CTS hotel internship grogram in NanJing

Background

    The 85% national income of Hong Kong people are coming from service industry, among it, tourist industry contributes a lot. Referring the teaching plan of tourist department, HK CTS hotel arranged this internship. This opportunity aims at providing opportunities to students who want to work in service industry in the future, and at the same time, they have chances to experience culture, history, local customs as well as the working environment in Mainland China.

Brief introduction of the internship:

Internship enterprise: Grand Metropark Hotel Nanjing

Internship time: 2015.06.23-2015.07.19

Internship position: Front office Department, Housekeeping Department, Food and Beverage Department

Reflection of the internship：

    The hotel arranges us to different departments according to our interests. One participant and me were arranged to having intern at lobby. At the beginning, we were not familiar with the culture in Mainland China, but luckily, our colleagues were very enthusiastic and willing to help us. They explained the details of daily operations and some food cooking process to us, which help us start the job easily, and expanded our horizon (Keyi, Xi).
